Here are few extremly useful recipes to help you improve your digestion during any kind of fever.

 

ANTIOXIDANT PUNCH

Serving size: 1                                                    Preparation time: 10-15 mins

Ingredients

Amount

Fresh orange juice

100 ml

Carrot juice

50 ml

Pomegranate juice

50 ml

Mint leaves

3-4

 

Method:

  • Squeeze 100 ml juice from 2-3 oranges.
  • Blend 1 big carrot (boiled for 2-3 mins) along with ½ bowl of pomegranate and strain the juice.
  • Mix both the juices and add a pinch of pepper powder and rock salt.
  • Add 3-4 chopped mint leaves and consume the juice immediately.

 

VEGETABLE SOUP

Serving size: 1Preparation time30-35 minutes.

Spinach

Onion

1 medium size

Tomato

1 medium size

Lemon juice

1 teaspoon

Basil leaves

3 - 4 leaves

 

Method:

  • Boil spinach, onion & tomato for 15-20 mins in a covered container.
  • Grind all the ingredients well together along with the water and basil leaves.
  • Strain thoroughly.
  • Heat a teaspoon of oil/ghee in a pot and add cumin seeds to it.
  • Add the strained soup now and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add salt, pepper powder and lemon juice as per taste preferences.
  • Serve hot.

 

NUTRITIOUS PORRIDGE

Serving size: 1                                                Preparation time: 15-20mins

Wheat flour

Carrot

Peas

Capsicum

Curry leaves

Flaxseed powder (roasted)

1 teaspoon

Groundnut powder

1 teaspoon

Oil

1 teaspoon

 

  • Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves, spices (turmeric powder, one red chili, asafetida) groundnut and flaxseed powder. Add wheat flour and roast till slightly brown
  • Add chopped vegetables and sauté for a minute.
  • Add the roasted wheat flour and slowly keep adding 150ml water with constant stirring. Make sure there are no lumps formed.
  • Cook for about 8-10 minutes on a low flame.
  • Garnish with coriander and serve.
